Last fall, our main monkey Dave Goldberg, had the honor of speaking at the technology and entrepreneurship conference–Digital October–located in the heart of Moscow. During his time there, Dave had the opportunity to meet some of our Russian customers and learn about the many interesting ways that they’re using SurveyMonkey.
We’re very excited that one of these very customers is here to share with you their own unique experience–Antal Russia. Antal Russia is an executive recruitment consulting firm that serves all of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). They specialize in mid to senior level managerial roles and currently have two global offices in Moscow and in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest city.
The floor’s all yours, Antal Russia!
Tell us what you worked on:
As a company, we rely on surveys for our marketing and PR efforts. One of our biggest marketing projects is our annual Job Market Overview and Salary Survey, now celebrating its third anniversary. Through this survey, we collect the most up to date information about the state of the CIS’s job market and we’re also able to gather job seekers’ insights.
Our study presents the biggest trends within the labor market–job searching, career motivation, headcount changes, benefits and bonuses–as well as a comprehensive salary survey of key professional disciplines and industry sectors in both Russia and Kazakhstan.
In 2012, the survey was supported by the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce and the results were presented to our key customers in Moscow and Almaty. For the Moscow results presentation, we did it in the format of a talk show, hosted by our Managing Director, Michael Germershausen.
We’re always interested in hearing from our markets so that we can continue to improve upon our current workflow and system. We started using SurveyMonkey because we wanted to better understand our clients’ needs. What do they like and don’t like? What’s working and not working with our services? What can we do to continue making our customers’ experience even better?
As all managers and businesses know, getting employee feedback is just as important when it comes to keeping a company healthy and SurveyMonkey helps us better understand our staff. We can get their opinions on our internal processes which in turn, helps us improve our corporate spirit.
What did you find out?
Most employers in Russia do not expect rapid growth in the market over the coming year. Some are counting on a slow but steady growth, some are playing the waiting game, and others are aiming to reduce costs. Nearly all employers point to a lack of high profile professionals and rising salary expectations.
Additionally, representatives of employers such as Discovery Communications Russia, ThyssenKrupp Elevator and PricewaterhouseCoopers Kazakhstan shared their visions on the modern labor markets in both Russia and Kazakhstan.
Next year’s Job Market and Salary Survey! We’re looking forward to what the new year will bring by way of new information and we’re already thinking about new questions to include into our survey to make it even more valuable and interesting.
SurveyMonkey is a great, user-friendly tool that we’ve used for years and will continue to for many more! Features like skip logic, filtering responses, and exporting particular information have been extremely helpful and hopefully what we’ve shared will help others.
Check out the quick video of our 2012-13 Job Market and Salary survey results below–enjoy and *спасибо!
