We closed 2012 with a big hooray! Donations for the last quarter of the year were $154,481, bringing our grand total for all donations generated in 2012 to $436,556! Amazing!
We also wanted to give a special shout out to one of our most active charity partners, the Humane Society of the United States, which generated $101,266 in donations from Contribute members over the past year! The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is the nation’s largest and most effective animal protection organization–backed by 11 million Americans. Established in 1954, the HSUS seeks a humane and sustainable world for all animals–a world that will also benefit people. They are America’s mainstream force against cruelty, exploitation and neglect, as well as the most trusted voice extolling the human-animal bond.
SurveyMonkey Contribute partnered with the HSUS early in 2012 because we loved their mission and knew that our Contribute members would as well. The HSUS also did a great job encouraging their own members to sign up for SurveyMonkey Contribute and support their cause by taking surveys to raise money for them. They spread the buzz about the HSUS-SurveyMonkey Contribute partnership by sending out the message in newsletters to their million+ members, posting about it on Facebook and Twitter, and including a link to their SurveyMonkey Contribute charity page on their own website.
Would you like to help the Humane Society of the United States raise even more money in 2013? Is there another charity you have in mind? Sign up and choose a charity that supports a cause close to your heart. We have over 30 world class charity partners to choose from.
