Video: Take a Tour of Analyze Beta

We’re the first to admit it–we think surveys are pretty fun. Here at SurveyMonkey, we get a genuine thrill from creating surveys, collecting responses, and analyzing the results. So, it shouldn’t surprise you that we’re pretty passionate about the features and tools we use to create our surveys. One such feature that’s been receiving a lot of love from our product and engineering teams is our Analyze tool. Over the past few months, we’ve been working really hard to improve the Analyze experience with even better tools, improved functionality, and some pretty dazzling charts.

But rather than just telling you about Analyze Beta, we decided to show you. Give the video below a watch and then when you’re done, make sure to sign up for Analyze Beta. And, as always, don’t forget to tell us what you think!

If I sign up for Analyze Beta but don’t like it, can I switch back to what it is currently?

    • Kayte K

Hi Callie- Great question! Yes, you can switch back to your current view if you don’t like the Analyze Beta tool (but we really hope you will)! Once you sign up for the Analyze Beta, when you click the Analyze Results tab of your survey, you’ll see text right beneath asking, “Need to use the classic Analyze tool? Switch back”.

Let us know if that helps and we hope you enjoy the new Analyze Beta. Lots of great stuff in there and a way cleaner look to your charts and data.

    I would like to see:
    1) The ability to compare multiple collectors against each other (not just an average of the collectors) without having to download the info to Excel and compare them manually.
    2) I would like to be able to choose a “default chart” type so I don’t have to change it over and over again.
    3) I would like to be able to set the scale so that all charts in a given survey display on the same scale for ease of comparison…right now I copy the chart into paintbrush and draw a line so people know where to look to compare data – not ideal!

    • Kayte K

Hi Jen! Thanks so much for the suggestions and feedback. I am passing these on to our Product Team and keep checking here for updates! Have a great week. :)

  • Ross

Hi, Where has this option gone as I NEED to be able to export categories on comments and the BETA version does not do this.

    • kaytek

Hi Ross! Thanks for reaching out. Looks like we got to you on Facebook. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

      • Deirdre Aherne

Hi – how can I switch back to classic analyze? I don’t see any option on the Analyse results tab. I switched to Beta by accident and I really need to switch back urgently.

        • kaytek

          Hi Deirdre,

          Here’s how to switch back:

          • Click the username drop-down menu in the upper right corner.
          • Select My Account.
          • Under General Preferences, click the Edit button next to “Analyze Tool.”
          • Select Classic Analyze and click Save Preference.

You can switch back to New Analyze at any time from this same place.

          Hope this helps!
          Kayte
