Woodfuel Sector Employment Survey

The Renewable Energy Strategy (RES) envisages that up to 30 per cent of the UK renewable energy target could be met from biomass heat and power sources. The Forestry Commission is looking to understand the potential value of the woodfuel industry to the UK economy and job market by 2020. A key part of this assessment is to understand current levels of employment within the woodfuel sector (from forest to boiler).

Please could you take a few moments to answer a very brief anonymous survey on how many staff your organisation employs? All results will be treated in confidence and aggregated up by country. No company or personal information will be recorded.

This survey has been designed and will be collated by Rural Development Initiatives Ltd. on behalf of the Forestry Commission.

Many thanks,

Angela Duignan (Head of Woodfuel Implementation)
