11% of survey complete.
Thank you for visiting the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership's Business Skills Survey for 2015.

This annual survey seeks to understand the skills gaps and future skills needs of businesses across the West of England. Your participation is vital in informing the LEP's Skills Strategy, shaping the city region's skills infrastructure and ensuring that your business can access the right talent. This survey features a number of key questions important to local economic growth and should take you no more than 15 minutes to complete.

Responses are sought from all businesses - regardless of size or sector - based within one of the following four unitary authorities: Bath and North East Somerset Council; City of Bristol Council; North Somerset Council; or South Gloucestershire Council. Whilst any employee is invited to complete the survey on behalf of a business, business owners, chief executives, HR managers and other senior management staff may be best placed to answer some of the questions.

Supporting the LEP's vision to develop a future workforce with the right skills, at the right levels to meet the needs of business now and in the future, the results of this survey will:
     - provide a sector-by-sector analysis of key challenges and priorities for local employers;
     - inform activities and strategic direction of schools, colleges, universities and other training providers;
     - highlight weaknesses and failures in the skills system across the West of England;
     - provide the evidence base on which to develop further solutions to meet business needs;
     - provide a strong business voice in developing LEP skills priorities over the next 18 months.

The results of the 2014 survey helped us develop a detailed programme of actions with local FE colleges; informed new locally-tailored careers information resources for schools; have been used to inform local and national skills strategies with government, funders, sector skills councils and other agencies.

Data will be used and processed by the West of England LEP in accordance with the Data Protection Act (2010). Anonymised data will be published within the 2015/16 Skills Plan.

Thank you for your time and interest in supporting the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership's work.
