The Board of Education is in the process of developing the budget for the 2010 – 2011 school year. We would like your opinions and ideas so we can present this information to the BOE for consideration. Our goal is to be part of the process. Please take a moment to answer the following questions. 1. What do you feel is essential to fund in the budget to maintain or improve our school system?

2. Scenario: The upcoming budget does not pass and our state aid is reduced by 2.3 million dollars. The district has a deficit of 4.3 million dollars and the budget must be reduced by this amount. Propose budget cuts to offset the deficit:

3. Were you aware that the Wayne Township School District received only 5% of funding from the State and many communities receive 30% - 90% of State funding?
