Fair wage dilemma
What would you do if you were looking for work and the job that you wanted paid a standard salary in the industry of $20 per hour. In your interview, you realize that you would like to work for this particular company. It’s a new company and they don’t know exactly what they are doing. You get the job, but instead of paying $20 per hour they inform you, that the salary is $75 per hour. The reason they have offered you this rate, is because they don’t know what they are doing.
Do you say thank you and accept the outlandish salary, or do you inform them that you cannot accept $75 per hour because the standard wage is $20 per hour. would it make a difference in your reaction if the person offering you the job was a friend or relative?
