Description: The Arbor Day Foundation is donating 64 trees to be planted on UNLV's campus to help us become a Tree Campus USA member. We are looking for students, faculty, and staff who would like to help plant the trees. We need at least 50 students, but the more the better.

This event will take place on the same day as Bring Your Child to Work Day and international Pay It Forward Day. It also concludes UNLV's Earth Week.

The majority of the trees will be in 15 gallon containers so that participants can remove the trees from the containers, place them in the ground, ammend the soil and backfill the holes - basically do the actual planting, not just observe. A few trees will be in 24" box containers, which the volunteers will backfill after the tree is placed in the hole by grounds workers. All holes will be pre-dug by the grounds department to speed up the actual planting. The trees will be placed adjacent to the areas in which they are to be planted before the event. The grounds department will provide directions for planting the trees.
