Announcing the UK Data Service

Data services are changing.

The UK will soon have a more comprehensive data service to enable social and economic research.

The ESRC have funded a new resource, the UK Data Service, that integrates and expands several existing data services, including:

• Economic and Social Data Service (esds.ac.uk)
• Census Programme (census.ac.uk)
• Secure Data Service (securedata.data-archive.ac.uk)
• Survey Question Bank (surveynet.ac.uk/sqb)

The transition to the UK Data Service will take place over the coming months. Users will start to see changes on the existing websites in early 2013. Until then, the data and services you are used to accessing will remain largely the same.
