Survey of Texas Community Pharmacists’ Perceptions about New or Transferred Prescription Incentives
Dear Pharmacist,
Many pharmacies are using new or transferred prescription incentives in order to promote their pharmacies and attract customers to their retail locations. These incentives include providing compensation to patients for bringing in a new prescription or for transferring a prescription from another pharmacy. An example of this practice includes coupons for gift cards redeemable for subsequent purchases either on a next prescription or non-pharmacy items such as retail or grocery items. We are interested in your views and perceptions about the use of such promotional activities.
If you choose to participate, you will be asked to fill out an online survey which will take approximately 5 to 7 minutes to complete. Your participation in this survey is voluntary.
We have sent this questionnaire to a sample of community pharmacists who practice in Texas. Because you are one of a small group of pharmacists for this study, we hope you will participate so that our results will be representative of community pharmacists in the state. Your decision to participate or not participate will not affect your present or future relationship with The University of Texas at Austin.
All responses are anonymous and will be kept confidential. No identifying information such as your name or pharmacy will be collected. Responses will not be linked to you and the overall results from all collected surveys will be reported. Participation may pose minimum risk if any to you. Clicking next at the bottom of this page will represent your consent to participate in this study. The survey will be available online until September, 21 2010.
