The Theatres Trust’s People’s Choice Award is an annual award, voted for by the public at the PLASA Show 2012. As in previous years, the 2012 award will be for an entertainment product that its manufacturers or suppliers believe is making inroads into sustainability, either through design, manufacture or operation.
Ecovenue, The Trust’s European Regional Development Fund-backed sustainability project is helping 48 London performing arts venues improve their sustainability. The People’s Choice Award 2012 will give manufacturers and suppliers of entertainment products the opportunity to showcase individual cases where the equipment used within a performing arts building can contribute to the sustainability of the building’s overall operation.
Products for inclusion in the 2012 award may be entered by manufacturers/distributors with a stand at PLASA 2012. A working example of the product must be available to exhibit on The Theatres Trust stand for the duration of the PLASA 2012 event.
The People’s Choice Award 2012 will be presented by The Theatres Trust at the PLASA 2012 show at Earls Court, as the culmination of its sustainability-themed series of Education Programme events. This year, the Award ceremony will take place on the Trust’s ‘Ecovenue’ stand at close of day on Tuesday 11 September.
Entries are invited from any manufacturer or supplier exhibiting at PLASA 2012.
