Last year the event had a capacity of 8,000 at any one time and total attendance was 25,000 over the three days. This year, we have relocated to Ashton Court, a much bigger site and capacity has risen to 20,000 at any one time. We will be on grass this time, rather than concrete.

The focus is on local music and arts with a low entry fee to attract large numbers. We work closely with the local universities and attract many 16 – 35 year olds as well as families. The late opening times, reasonably priced bars and lots of entertainment within a fenced area means that the vast majority of the audience eat on site to ensure a busy day’s trading.

BrisFest is open to the public:

Saturday 22nd September: 12.00 – 00.00 (site clear by 01:00)
Sunday 23rd September: 12.00 – 22:00 (site clear by 22:30)

Please also note that you should have at least one member of staff on your stall from when the show opens at midday until the festival is clear of public (see above for closing times) for stock security reasons.

Set up times for stallholders:

Thursday 20th September
Friday 21st September: 10:00 - 18:00
Saturday 22nd September: 07:00 - 11:00
In case of wet weather vehicle movement on site may be restricted so please allow plenty of time to set up.

Break down times:

Sunday 26th September: 22:30 – 01:00
Monday 27th September: 10:00 - 18:00

Prohibited Items - Please note you are not allowed to sell the following: Glass (unless gifts/crafts/jewellery), alcohol, polystyrene, confetti (it makes a right mess), or any dangerous goods. Food only by pre-arrangement i.e. by booking a catering pitch.

Recycling - All disposable plates, cups and cutlery must be recyclable/compostable materials. There will be extensive recycling facilities on site so please recycle your waste. Please consult your Trade Manager on site about collecting waste oil and water. Please do not leave piles of waste/rubbish, as we volunteers have to pick it all up by hand.

Weather - Please be prepared for the British weather! The show is predominantly outdoors. If the weekend is very wet you may need to keep your stock raised off the grass, and we would recommend using pallets.
Stall Equipment - We are unable to provide any stall equipment for the event, and pitches are sold simply as open trading pitches. You will need to bring all tables, chairs and gazebos or stall cover with you.

Gazebo Weights - We recommend a sturdy 3m by 3m gazebo with walls, weighted down on all four legs. If proper weights are unavailable large water containers (such as several 5gallon bottles, not provided) may be filled on site & used as weights if secured properly.

Health and Safety - In terms of risk assessments it is your duty to carry out a full risk assessment and have an up to date Health and Safety policy and full insurance, as it may be requested on inspection. You should bring all extinguishers and other safety equipment as necessary for your stall.

Stall Inspection- A stall inspection will take place at 11am before the event opens to the public; primarily for health and safety purposes, and checking PAT certific
