The proposed budget calls for a 74% decrease in funding for statewide library services. This cut includes the elimination of all statewide library programs and services including the elimination of the statewide summer reading program and closing the doors of the NJ State LIbrary Talking Book and Braille Center (formerly known as the Library for the Blind and Handicapped).
