Stewardship of Open Space Application
Basic Information
The Stewardship of Open Space (SOS) program provides the framework for communities located in the six counties we serve to achieve long term protection of open space for future generations. This program allows municipal officials to gather information, document community wants/needs and receive suggestions on how to properly manage open space. A comprehensive package of services, offered to local municipal governments, incorporate topics such as: renewable energy production, local food systems, outdoor recreation, wildlife habitat, threatened and endangered species protection, local culture, invasive species management, water quality enhancements, and stormwater management.
