1. Survey overview

11% of survey complete.
New Sector Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit consulting and leadership development firm. We are conducting this survey to understand the current challenges facing Boston-area nonprofits. The survey data will be used to articulate your needs to local and national funders, including the Corporation for National and Community Service, and to shape New Sector's services to better meet your needs. Our goal is to increase awareness, funding and resources available to you in 2010 and beyond.

Survey respondents may enter a drawing for a $100 donation to the nonprofit of your choice or a $100 Amazon gift certificate, and may receive a summary of survey findings. Survey responses are confidential; New Sector will share only aggregate data with no identifying information. If you wish to participate in the drawing or receive a summary of findings, you may indicate this at the end of the survey.

We estimate that the survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete, and ask that you respond by January 6, 2010. Thank you in advance for your time.

Best regards,
Laura Clancy

About us: New Sector recruits, trains, and supports diverse top talent to work with today’s nonprofit leaders on mission-critical projects to strengthen their organizations.

New Sector is supported by the Corporation for National and Community Service/AmeriCorps in providing two programs: (1) a year-long Residency program, which places young professionals to work full-time, on-site at nonprofits over the course of a year. Each Resident is supported by a consultant advisor from a top management consulting firm (such as Accenture, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, or McKinsey) and experienced New Sector staff; and (2) a 12-week Summer Fellowship program, which places competitively-selected undergraduate and MBA students at nonprofit host sites. Each Summer Fellow is also supported by a consultant advisor and New Sector staff.

Additionally, New Sector assembles and supports semester-long consulting teams composed of students from top local business schools, volunteers from top management consulting firms, and experienced New Sector staff. Each team is led by a New Sector Senior Director, a seasoned consultant with relevant for- and non-profit experience.
