1. Introduction & Basic Information

Seafood Choices, an international program of SeaWeb, is offering travel fellowships to attend the 2011 Seafood Summit in Vancouver, Canada. At the 2011 Seafood Summit, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in discussions, hear presentations, and network with conservation and business leaders from the seafood industry. Anyone is eligible to apply including:

* Media: reporters, editors, writers, freelance journalists, in print, broadcast or online
* Producers: small-scale and artisanal fishermen and fish farmers
* Employees of non-profit organizations
* Students

A limited number of fellowships are available, and they may be partial or full fellowships. Preference will be shown to applicants from under-represented and non-represented geographies. Fellowships, which will be applied to airfare and/or accommodation expenses, will be based on need, point of origin, and the ability of the individual or company represented to help defray costs. Interviews may be conducted to obtain additional information following application. Fellowship recipients will be announced mid December 2010.
