Weekly Notes: A weekly e-mailed newsletter highlighting current events and activities relevant to the industry

Policy Update: A monthly e-mailed summary outlining all issues being addressed by the Association on behalf of the industry

EU Monitor: A quarterly e-mailed summary tracing European issues affecting the industry

Construction Market Trends: A monthly analysis of the latest economic and market data relevant to the industry

Construction Activity Barometer: Produced jointly by the Association and Ernst and Young. It provides an initial assessment of current trading conditions and expectations across the construction products industry published at the end of each quarter

Construction Trade Survey: A quarterly detailed appraisal of the state of trade in the industry and how companies view their future prospects. The information is obtained via a survey from the Association’s members and other sectors of the construction industry

Construction Industry Forecasts: A quarterly analysis of the prospects for the construction industry for the following four years. A detailed report covering all construction sectors is published once a year with three summary updates published quarterly around the main report

You are also entitled to join various committees of the Construction Products Association. The two that seem most relevant for REA members are the Sustainable Construction Committee and the Technical Committee. These are described below.

Other committees are the Waste Working Group, Market Information Committee, the External Affairs Committee, Construction Industry Networking Forum and the Forecasting Panel (which is invitation only although will consider nominations). The SCC focuses on issues relating to EU and UK sustainability policies (including climate change and energy), green procurement, resource efficiency and environmental codes, guides and standards.

* 6. The Technical Committee

The Technical Committee develops the Association’s response to, and policy on, the major technical issues facing the industry. These issues include the Construction Products Regulation, Building Regulations, Codes and Standards, and other legislative and regulatory proposals. It also ensures members are kept up to date on current and likely future developments in these areas.
