You are being invited to participate in a research study. Before you decide, it is important that you understand why the research is being done and what it will involve. Please take a moment to read the following information carefully. Ask us questions if there is anything that is not clear or if you would like more information.
You should NOT take part in the survey if you are under 18 years of age and live outside of the Metro Vancouver/Greater Vancouver Regional District.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE STUDY?
The purpose of my study is to assess the public knowledge of the food scraps recycling programs within the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) or Metro Vancouver.
DO YOU HAVE TO TAKE PART?
It is up to you whether or not to take part. If you do decide to take part, you will be asked to sign this consent form. You are free to withdraw at any time and without giving any reason and without any penalty.
COMPLETING THE SURVEY
You will be asked a series of questions during the survey and it will take approximately three to five minutes of your time.
All survey documents and consent forms will be kept strictly confidential. You will not be identified by name in any reports, publications or presentations resulting from this study. This study is under the supervision of BCIT Faculty and has been approved by the BCIT Ethics Board.
