Introduction

Earth Hour is coming up on 30 March 2019 and we thought we would use this opportunity to hit you up for some feedback and ideas in relation to our recent recycling initiatives.

EML recently participated in a recycling audit across 385 Bourke Street. Unfortunately, EML remains below the building average.

While some EML floors have made a significant improvement in their recycling…. others have in fact regressed.
To help us understand what initiatives have recently encouraged or deterred you from recycling, please complete the survey below.

Not-so-fun facts:
*Did you know that only 1 contaminated item in the recycling bin can mean that the whole lot gets taken to landfill?
*Since the 1950s, around 8.3 billion tons of plastic have been produced worldwide. And only 9% of it has been recycled. Plastic does not decompose, so think about how you can reduce your overall plastic consumption and recycle/reuse what you can.
*Plastic is killing more than 1.1 million seabirds and animals every year.
