Living with the Coast Shoreline Landowner Workshop and Site Visit Information Sign Up and Survey
Welcome. If you are a shoreline landowner on the Port Susan shoreline interested in attending the free workshop on coastal process and shoreline erosion management and/or you wish to sign up to receive information about obtaining a free site visit from a qualified professional to receive specific recommendations regarding management of your shoreline property please complete the following short survey. Information about the free site visits will be sent to you via email in October.
Workshop Information
What: Living with the Coast workshop led by coastal processes expert Jim Johannessen of Coastal Geologic Services (www.coastalgeo.com)
When: October 13, 2012, 9am-12:30pm
Where: DUE TO DEMAND THE WORKSHOP VENUE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO: Camano Community Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island
Who should attend?
If you are a marine shoreline landowner along the Port Susan shoreline (Snohomish County and the east side of Camano Island) this workshop is for you! If you have a broad beach or low bank and want tips on how to protect your property while promoting healthy marine ecosystems or if you live on a bluff and have experienced erosion, drainage, or vegetation issues and want to find ways to reduce impacts to your property then consider attending this workshop and sign up for a free site visit.
The workshops will consist of a 90 minute long presentation and a beach walk/field trip afterward. Please bring a light snack if you need it and foul-weather gear and boots for the field trip. You can register for the workshop and to receive information about the site visit program by completing the following brief survey and entering your contact information.
This outreach project is a project of the Northwest Straits Foundation in partnership with the Snohomish and Island County Marine Resources Committees. Funding is provided by the Washington Departments of Fish and Wildlife and Department of Natural Resources through the Marine and Nearshore Protection and Restoration Program.
