The purpose of this survey is to find out where we need to start discussions in our group, not to conclude them. It is divided into 9 topic pages: Introduction, General, Location, Site Characteristics, Your Unit, Finances, Environmental Aspects, Community Aspects, and Other Relevant Comments.
The answers should reflect your current vision and priorities, but it could be helpful to think not only about your personal preferences, but also about what you believe will be good for the community.
If you intend to join as a couple/family, please fill out a single survey that represents the consensus of your opinions as well as possible.
IMPORTANT: You can use the "prev" and "next" buttons at the bottom of each survey page to jump around without losing the data on the page you're leaving. (On occasion a question refers to an earlier one.) However, you must complete the survey at one sitting--if you navigate away from the survey altogether before clicking "done" on the final page, YOUR DATA WILL BE LOST and you'll need to start over. You may wish to navigate through the entire survey once before filling anything out, to estimate completion time and see if any items may require prior thought or discussion.
Privacy and data use: Names are requested so we can keep track of who has completed the survey, follow up if necessary, or separate out data for individuals who become inactive. Individually identifiable survey data will be viewable only by individuals within the cohousing group who are analyzing the data; any publicly presented data will exclude personal identifiers. Items such as occupation and hobbies may be utilized in promotional materials without names attached, to communicate the character of our group.
