1. Penile Measurements

 
After measuring these features, you may proceed with filling out the Genital Perception survey!

Figure 1: length measurements (in centimeters or inches)

FLACCID PENIS:
Measure the length of your flaccid penis (non-erect), from the base of the penis along the upper side of the penis to the tip of the glans (not foreskin). (see Figure 1)

Make sure you:
- measure from the side of the penis
- stand up straight and extend your penis in front of you (Your penis should now be parallel with the floor)
- DO NOT stretch your penis
- place the ruler next to your penis so it is slightly pressing against the pubic bone.

ERECT PENIS:
Measure the length of your ERECT penis (non-erect), from the base of the penis along the upper side of the penis to the tip of the glans.

Make sure:
- You are 100% erect (maximum erection you can obtain)

Measure the girth of your flaccid and erect penis (the circumference) by wrapping a piece of string around the CENTER of your penis (see Figure). Then, straighten the string against a ruler and note down the length(in centimeters or inches).

Note:
- for the erect penis measurements, please make sure your erection is as erect as it can be.

Please estimate the angle and direction of your penis (see Figure).

Note down whether your erect penis:
- HORIZONTAL direction: goes towards the left or right, and the angle (ex: my erect penis is approximately 20⁰ towards the left)
- VERTICAL direction: goes upwards or downwards (ex: my erect penis goes more upwards, at about a 60⁰ degree angle)
- COMBINATION of both

If you have penile curvature when erect, please estimate the angle and direction (see Figure).

Note down:
- HORIZONTAL direction: Does the extremity of your erect penis point towards the right or left
(ex: when erect, my penis is 30⁰ towards the left).
- VERTICAL direction: Does the extremity of your erect penis point upwards or downwards
(ex: when erect, my penis has a penile curvature angle of 40⁰)
- COMBINATION of both
