. You are being asked to participate in a research study conducted by Gwendolyn Reece, Ph.D., from American University. The purpose of this study is to understand the importance of different practices to the Pagan/Witch/Heathen community in the United States and identify the needs, challenges, barriers, and perceptions of risk faced by Pagans/Witches/Heathens that influence their ability to practice, and whether there are variations within segments of the community.
Should you decide to participate in this study, you will be asked to affirm your participation at the end of this page. This online survey includes questions about: your demographics; your identity as a Pagan/Witch/Heathen; how important particular practices are to you; barriers and challenges to your practice; perceptions of risk; and methods you use to learn and stay connected to community.
Participation in this study will require 15 minutes of your time.
The information from this survey will help inform the Pagan/Witch/Heathen community about itself, the needs of Pagans/Witches/Heathens in the United States and any risks that may be perceived by the community. Such an understanding of the needs will enable Pagans/Witches/Heathens to develop strategies to meet their needs and offset the perceived risks of being Pagan/Witch/Heathen. The Researcher intends to share her analysis with the broader community with recommendations.

This survey is anonymous. No identifying information will be collected.
The analysis from this survey will be used in several ways. As the analysis is being conducted, the Researcher will share emerging findings with the community through press releases to the Pagan/Witch/Heathen media and organizations. No identifiable information will be captured or used.
Your participation is voluntary. You are free to choose not to participate. Should you choose to participate, you can withdraw at any time without consequences of any kind.
