Put a book on the shelf at New Cross Gate

 
As part of the New X-ING project, Artmongers has received some funding to revamp the front of New Cross Learning (formerly New Cross Library)with a participatory artwork.

Young and old, newcomers and old-timers, men, women and children are all welcome to be part of this exciting project.

You can make sure your favourite book is up there and you can create an imaginary book. Do one or the other or both. Is there a book you always wished existed? Or one you've been meaning to write? Now's your chance

1. Please tell us your name

2. First tell us about a book you love. Please tell us the title of the book and the author. If you have a photo of the spine of the book (the part you see when it's on the shelf) then please email it to artmongers.studio@gmail.com.

3. Now for the book you wish existed, or maybe you plan to write one day. What is the title of the book?

4. Who is the author you want to see on the spine (eg yourself, a made up person, part of the joke of the title...)

5. Tell us something about the book that will help us design the cover. What genre is it (eg spy thriller, historical romance, encyclopedia). If you feel strongly about colours or fonts please tell us here. If you have a design idea for the spine of the book (the part you see when it's on the shelf) then please email it to artmongers.studio@gmail.com

6. We are interested in why you like this book. Please share anything you would like to say about it.
