New Jersey's Cell Phone/Text Ban Law

 
Rutgers University's Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Tansportation (CAIT) in conjunction with MBO Engineering, LLC is under contract from the Region II University Transportation Research Center to conduct a research study on the effects of a law enacted in New Jersey on March 1, 2008 that bans motorists from using a hand-held cell phone to make or take a call or text message while operating a motor vehicle. Participation in this study is VOLUNTARY and all data collected in conjunction with this study will be used for statistical purposes only. No personal information will be collected that would allow participants' identities to be ascertained or used in any way.
