Park Improvement Design - Visual Survey

 

Welcome - This Park Infrastructure Visual Survey is one element Iowa DNR and Iowa Parks Foundation - Park Improvements Design Guide Project. The survey is designed to solicit your impressions about the design character and design alternatives of a wide range of park structures.

Through this survey you will score your impressions of a series of images that illustrate a range of potential design options for State Park Infrastructure.

SURVEY INSTRUCTIONS
The survey begins with 11 brief questions that we will use for demographic purposes (all responses are confidential).

The Visual Survey consists of 207 images that you will score. For each image, please consider these questions:
Do you like this image?
Is it appropriate for Iowa state parks?

We ask you to score the image on a scale from -5 (for highly negative responses) through +5 (for highly positive responses). You will see the range of scores at the bottom of each image. Simply check the box that corresponds to your reaction to the image and click "next" below to advance to the next image. Please don’t hesitate to use the full range of ratings.

Most participants will take about 20-25 minutes to complete the survey. Your scores will be tabulated with all other survey responses, and will be used by the design team to draw conclusions about preferences for the design of park structures.
