1. GUIDELINES ON MEDICAL PHYSICS EXPERT
This survey forms part of an EC-funded project called Guidelines on the Medical Expert Physics. Directive 97/43/Euratom defines a Medical Physics Expert as someone who is:
"an expert in radiation physics or radiation technology applied to exposure...whose training and competence to act is recognized by the competent authorities; and who, as appropriate, acts or gives advice on patient dosimetry, on the development and use of complex techniques and equipment, on optimization, on quality assurance, including quality control, and on other matters relating to radiation protection, concerning exposure within the scope of this Directive."
We are gathering data on the role, education, training, competence and responsibilities of the Medical Physics Expert, and are very grateful for your participation in this survey.
