Molonglo Valley is expected to house around 55,000 people over the next 30 years. It will contribute to a more sustainable and compact city that aligns with the strategic objectives set out in the draft ACT Planning Strategy and draft Transport for Canberra policy.
After extensive community engagement, the draft planning and design framework for Molonglo Valley stage 2 has been prepared and is currently going through the government approval process.
The next stage of planning will focus on the group centre and surrounding high density residential area, which aims to accommodate 7,000-9,000 people. We want your views to provide up-front input into the detailed planning and design work that is to commence early 2012.
