1. Mobile Broadband and YOU
Thank you for brainstorming with us!
This is a unique opportunity to share ideas about mobile broadband, and how it might impact your work. The best ideas may get funded and developed, so don't hold back!
Background: Mobile Citizen (mobilecitizen.org) has a sweetheart deal with a 4G provider, which allows them virtually give away 4G service to schools and nonprofits. The service costs $10 a month, is just as fast as DSL, and is totally wireless. Mobile Citizen has signed up hundreds of 4G accounts already, and may subsidize as many as 20,000 more in 2011.
Mobile Citizen already knows how 4G can help schools and direct service groups. Now, they want to understand how 4G can help social change organizers – those doing advocacy, organizing, civic engagement and similar work. This is where you come in.
This survey is a unique chance for you to help shape the future of 4G-friendly tools. If they find breakthrough new ideas, Mobile Citizen has the capacity to fund and develop new 4G-friendly tech tools. We invite you to submit your best ideas, and be assured that we will follow up on anything that looks remotely promising.
