Greetings from Barton Springs!
As part of interpretive planning activities for Barton Springs, the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) is conducting a visitor survey to better understand use patterns at Barton Springs Pool.
The Barton Springs User Survey is being conducted in two phases. The first phase is an intercept survey based on a random selection of pool users from June 2009 through May 2010. This random selection protocol provides a representative sample of pool users throughout the year, and includes a mix of both out-of-town visitors, first-timers, casual and long-time swimmers.
The second phase of the study is an on-line survey available to anyone interested in participating. We believe that phase two is important to capture the experiences and knowledge of the greater Austin community.
All responses are voluntary and anonymous. We ask that individuals complete the on-line survey only once. Individuals are encouraged to participate on-line even if they have previously been interviewed in person.
