Student Success Tax Survey
For the past decade, tuition in the California State University system has gone up almost every year. Tuition and fees have risen by 283% since 2002. Despite the Legistlature's four year freeze on tuition increase, the CSU Board of Trustees and Campus Presidents are proposing campus based fee called "Student Success" fees. These fees can be extra $300-$700 a year and can be spent on anything from computers, to athletics, to building improvements on campus. What these fees are spent on will vary at each CSU campus, and the student population has had little say on will be spent, even though every student will have to pay them.
The CSU Administration & Board of Trustees have been using budget cuts as a reason to radically restructure CSU into a more corporate, privatized university system, with highly paid executives, low paid faculty, and a lower quality of education offered at a higher price for students. Students for Quality Education wants to know how YOU really feel about these fees and how YOU are being impacted by them. Please take a minute to fill out this survey. Thank you for your time.
