POTENTIAL LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPED FROM PARTICIPATION ON A COLLEGIATE JUDGING TEAM AND THEIR EFFECT ON FUTURE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this form is to provide you information that may affect your decision as to whether or not to participate in this research study. If you decide to participate in this study, this form will also be used to record your consent.
You have been asked to participate in a research project studying the potential impact that prior participation on a collegiate judging team may/may not have had on your career, life skills, and professional abilities. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact that time spent on a judging team may have on the individual. You were selected to be a possible participant because you have been on a previous judging team at Texas A&M University.
WHAT WILL I BE ASKED TO DO?
If you agree to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete the following survey. This study will take less than 5 minutes.
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE BENEFITS OF THIS STUDY?
You will receive no direct benefit from participating in this study; however, this will aid in better understanding the complete impact judging programs have beyond the time spent during college.
DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE?
No. Your participation is voluntary. You may decide not to participate or to withdraw at any time without your current or future relations with Texas A&M University being affected.
WHO WILL KNOW ABOUT MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS RESEARCH STUDY?
This study is confidential and only the researchers will have access to the survey. Research record will be store securely and only Dr. Clay Cavinder and Jake Franke will have access to the records.
