The Journey - Understanding the Gifts of the Spirit
Welcome to The Journey on-line survey site. As you click on the NEXT button at the bottom of each page, your entries will be recorded. We have designed this survey instrument so that you can take part of the questions, save your answers, and return later to finish the remaining questions.
There are 25 sections. Each section has 5 questions. Please answer all questions, add up the total score for all 5 questions (for example, 5 + 3 + 2 + 5+ 0 = 15). On a blank piece of paper, number each line from 1 to 25 (representing the 25 sections). As you complete each page/section, write the total for that section on the corresponding line on your paper. You will use these totals later when you select your gifts.
After you have completed all the sections, move to page 27 and follow the instructions for identifying two types of Spirit-Given Gifts -- your current gifts (the more obvious talents and gifts that you are currently using) and your "emerging" or "waiting" gifts. Emerging gifts are gifts that GOD is preparing you to use.
Tom, Charles and Mary Kennedy will be joining various Cell Groups in January to talk about the Gifts and to answer any specific questions that you might have about your gifts. If you would like someone to contact you and arrange a private meeting about your gifts and how GOD is calling you to perform his service, please contact one of us, as we will be more than happy to help you.

Please keep in mind that this test was written by people, not by God, and as such it is certainly imperfect. It should be used as a starting place to begin to discover how God has gifted you, but not as an absolute indicator. The test may not always indicate your true Spiritual Gift(s) but I think that you will find the results surprisingly accurate. It is just one tool in what should be a life-long search for how God has blessed you so you can bless others.
Respond to each Statement quickly with your first feeling. Don't over analyze each statement. Go with you first impulse/response. Don't be too modest, however, unless you can walk on water, you will probably have many more low number Responses than high number Responses.
