One-to-One Readiness Assessment Survey - ISTE

Congratulations on your decision to implement a one-to-one program in your school or district. This is a significant undertaking which will affect the daily lives of all members of your learning community. This tool was designed by Educational Collaborators to help schools quickly and accurately evaluate their needs and assess their overall readiness for a one-to-one initiative. It may be the single most important factor in ensuring you and your team is covering all the bases.

While not necessarily comprehensive, the survey will touch on each of the major functional areas of a one-to-one program including:

Goals and Objectives
Financial Planning
Device Procurement & Deployment
End User Support
Curriculum Integration
Marketing & Communication
Faculty Development
Infrastructure Development

The online survey takes approximately 45 minutes and will gather both quantitative and qualitative information about your specific situation. We highly encourage the inclusion of key faculty, tech staff and administrators in both the completion of the survey and the review. We also recommend you have your Network, Technology & Strategic Plans available for reference.

Upon submission, EC staff will contact you to schedule a timely, one-hour review of the survey onsite during the 2012 ISTE Conference. Based on your institution and needs, we will then select the most appropriate EC Collaborator to review the survey prior to this call. During the meeting they will discuss Red Flag Areas of Concern and then spend the balance of the time reviewing the topics you designated as most important.

Following the meeting, you will receive a One-to-One Best Practices paper with recommendations for planning. Some of the recommendations will be simple, tactical tips that a school can integrate into their plans right away. Others will be customizable follow-on engagements to consider as you endeavor to efficiently and effectively launch a highly successful initiative.

If you're not able to complete the entire survey at once, you can exit and come back to it from the same computer to finish. Also, please indicate where appropriate that you have completed the survey. This will inform us that you are ready to be contacted to schedule your review.
