Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. the survey may take as little as fifteen minutes or as long as half an hour depending on how much information you would like to share. All information collected in this survey will be kept strictly confidential and will only be used publicly with your full agreement and a guarantee of anonymity. The purpose of this study is to get a better understanding of the nature of homelessness on Gabriola and to match stories to statistics so that the issue of homelessness becomes one of relevance for the entire community. You may refuse to answer any of the questions in the survey and you may stop the survey at any time. What we aim to offer is a sympathetic ear to hear and collect the stories that are yours and yours alone. The Goals of this project are the following:
-To get an idea of the number of people living without adequate shelter or at risk of homelessness on Gabriola
-To collect stories from those affected by homelessness so we can understand the complex issues that lead to and perpetuate homelessness on Gabriola
-To come up with a range of workable solutins that can be put into practice
-To educate and inform the public about homelessness on gabriola
