This is not a formal Thames Water questionnaire. It is a simplified version of Thames Water’s consultation feedback form and has been designed to be neutral in the questions it asks. All responses will be sent to Thames Water without delay.

If you would prefer to complete the detailed Thames Water questionnaire it can be accessed at www.thamestunnelconsultation.co.uk.

Respond by Feb 10, 2012 if you care for your health, home and community

1. Please provide us with your contact details:

2. Are you a local resident or local business owner?

3. How many people are in your household?

4. Please indicate which age range you are:

5. Have you read any Thames Tunnel produced background information or attended an exhibition/meeting at which Thames Tunnel was present to answer questions?

6. According to Thames Water, there are currently only 2 viable sites under consideration: Barn Elms and Carnwath Road Riverside. Which of these do you think should be used?

7. Thames Water has identified 8 issues, specific to using Carnwath Riverside, which will have an impact during construction. They state that these issues can be managed to prevent them having a negative impact on the area. Taking into account Thames Water's proposals for managing these issues, how concerned are you about them?

 Very concernedConcernedNeutralNot concernedDon’t know
Delaying regeneration of South Fulham Riverside area
Permanently relocating the Carnwath Road
Industrial Estate to an unidentified location
Construction vehicles traffic on Carnwath Road and Wandsworth Bridge Road
Temporary suspension or relocation of some on-street parking on Carnwath Road
Temporary diversion of the Thames Path
Disruption of the Hurlingham Yacht Club Pier
Effect of noise and vibration
Effects on local air quality and dust nuisance

8. Once the tunnelling and construction works are completed (after 7 years) a permanent facility will be left on the site consisting of a building containing ventilation and control equipment, a 15metre (50 foot) tall ventilation column and provision for vehicle access. Do you support the location of these facilities permanently on the site?

9. Thames Water states that odour in the area will not be affected once the sewer is operating because they will use technology to ‘de-odorise’ the exhaust coming out of the ventilation pipe on Carnwath Road. They also state that any maintenance work on site will only occur during normal working hours to avoid disruption. Do you agree that the permanent sewer ventilation facility on site will not have an impact on the area?

10. Have you previously taken part in any consultation activities relating to the Thames Sewer project?

11. Do you think you have been provided with enough understandable information by Thames Water to enable you to respond to the consultation?

12. Do you have any other comments about the Thames Water consultation process?

13. Do you agree that there is a need for a full length Thames Tunnel to reduce the amount of sewage and rain water (from storm drains) that enters the Thames?

14. Would you support alternative solutions that cost less and provide more benefits than a full-length tunnel?

15. Here are a number of issues which local campaign groups believe are specific to Carnwath Road and have not been properly publicised during this consultation. Do you agree that the following issues should be properly addressed by Thames Water before reaching a decision?

16. Overall do you support the use of Carnwath Road Riverside as the preferred site for the construction of the main tunnel drive shaft and associated ongoing works?

17. Are there any other issues which you feel should be properly considered by Thames Water and properly publicised before a decision is made?

18. Would you like to be kept informed about the campaign? (Your details will remain confidential and not be passed to any third parties).
