father preferences

1. Participant Information

Dear Parent

I would like to invite you to participate in a research project looking at the acceptability and relevance of parenting programmes for fathers. I would greatly appreciate your participation in the study. This would mean completing a 15 minute questionnaire. The questions will ask you about your family demographic information as well as parenting and child behaviour. You will also be asked about your knowledge of and experience with parenting programmes and what features of parenting programmes are important for you.

Participation is voluntary. You can stop participating at any time while completing the questionnaire. You may also skip any questions that you do not want to answer. Completing and submitting the questionnaire is taken as consent and withdrawal is not possible as it is an anonymous questionnaire.

No personal identifying questions will be asked. The information will be used for research purposes only. All data collected will be stored securely for six years after the completion of the research project in the University of Auckland School of Teaching, Learning and Development and then destroyed. I intend to publish the anonymised and generalised findings of the study in education and psychology journals, in reports, and in conference presentations.

Thank you very much for your time and help in making this study possible. If you have any queries or wish to know more please contact me at:
