Follow-up Deficit Reduction Survey

Follow-up/Feedback Deficit Reduction Survey

Dear Community Members,

On Tuesday, October 25th the Board of Education approved a number of reductions that were necessary for us to eliminate a 13.2 MILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT no later than this Monday, October 31st. Some reductions will take place immediately and others, those most likely to affect students and families, will not to be phased in yet this school year.

In the coming weeks, we will continue to work aggressively to find better solutions to solve our budget challenges and, where possible, to rescind some or all of these budget cuts. In the mean time, I will also work to keep you well informed of our budget challenges and of any possible solutions.

Your FEEDBACK and IDEAS are important to me, and we will continue to provide opportunities for feedback. Please share any suggestions or feedback

Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback so far. I will keep you updated as we collect your comments while continuing to address our budget challenges for the long term.Thank you for helping us during this difficult time. Your voice matters.

Sincerely,

Eric Gordon
Chief Executive Officer
