Crestwood: A Community for a Lifetime
1. Community Building and Development
Like many communities throughout the nation, the City of Crestwood has been challenged by these tough economic times: the City relies heavily on sales tax revenue to meet the growing needs of the community. We want to revitalize the local economy and we want to do so with your interests and opinions in mind. What aspects of development or community building are important to you? The goal of this survey is to gather citizen input and use your ideas to construct a vision for future community development.
Community development, informally called community building, refers to the practices of local government, business people, and involved citizens and professionals to improve various aspects of local communities. Ultimately, the City hopes to further community development by empowering individuals and groups of people and providing these groups with the skills they need to effect change in their own communities. The first step in this exciting process is to survey what area residents want; how you see the future of Crestwood.
