Cascade Auto Group

1. Your opinion matters!

We would appreciate it if you would take the time to complete a brief survey that will tell us how you feel about GM’s decision to NOT have a dealership in Klamath County.

Cascade Auto Group is a family-owned and operated General Motors dealership located in the beautiful town of Klamath Falls. We have been in this community for over thirty years and normally employ about seventy-five people.

We are one of the 1350 dealerships that received the “wind-down” letter from GM. This means by October 2010 we will no longer be a GM dealership. You may be curious as to why we received “the letter” and we wish that we could shed some light on this. The honest truth is that GM gave none of us any reason for the letter. Due to the newly passed legislation we should find out why GM would shut down a profitable, successful, brand loyal dealership such as Cascade Auto Group. We have the opportunity with this special legislation to request that our franchise be reinstated through arbitration. The arbitrator will decide whether Cascade Auto Group should be continued or reinstated based on a balancing of the economic interests of Cascade Auto Group, the manufacturer (GM), and the public at large (Klamath County). In preparation for this process we are looking for support from our community and have developed a survey for you to voice your opinion.

There is a great deal at stake if we are not successful in this arbitration process. There will be a loss of jobs, no GM dealership within reasonable distance for customers (over 1 hour and 25 minutes away for closest dealership), loss of community support through sponsorships, donations, taxes, and charities. Not only will this have a direct negative effect on our community there will be residual ones as well. If you would like to discuss this in further detail, please do not hesitate in contacting us.

Again, please complete the brief survey on the next page. Your support will mean a great deal to us, our employees and everyone in Klamath County.

Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Clint Thompson
General Manager
