Please help us prepare for this series by selecting the top five (5) questions you wrestle with from the list below. How can the Bible be the Word of God if it was written by humans? Who decided what made it into the Bible? How did they decide? Why is God so angry and violent in some parts, and so loving and peaceful in others? How can we reconcile the Bible and Science (for example, Was the world created in seven days? Were there dinosaurs on Noah's ark? Didn't the biblical authors believe in a flat earth? What about evolution and the Bible?) The Bible seems to accept and even condone slavery. Isn’t that wrong? The Bible seems to be filled with rules about things like food and rituals. Are we supposed to try and follow all those rules? In the Bible, women are told to be "silent in the church," told by Paul that they should not teach, and told to pray with their heads covered. How are we to make sense of this today? Can I be a Christian and not believe everything in the Bible? Are there places where the Biblical authors were wrong? Is it okay to question the Bible while still believing God has inspired it? The Bible talks about people being possessed by demons, yet often their symptoms would be described as known psychological, psychiatric or physical disorders today. What are we to make of this? The Bible condemns homosexual acts, yet seems to permit men sleeping with other women who are not their spouses in order to have children, men like Solomon having hundreds of wives and mistresses, and even, in places, prostitution. How do we make sense of this? God seems to be actively punishing or blessing people in the Bible, controlling everything that happens, and even predestining some people to hell. How do we make sense of this today? Why does the Bible sometimes contradict itself? Why are there sometimes contradictory accounts of the same events? Is every word of it true and trustworthy? Why is the Bible confusing and unclear? Other (please specify) Question Title * 2. I am: Male Female Question Title * 3. Age: 18-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70+ Question Title * 4.
