We Got the Beat!
Cincinnati SLA Tour of Cincinnati Art Museum and Art After Dark
Break out your go-go boots or skinny neon ties and head back to the 80s at the Cincinnati Art Museum. Need a night out? How about a night with some art? This is also a great opportunity to visit one of the special libraries in Cincinnati. Want to sip Merlot with Monet and Pinot with Picasso? A cash bar, entertainment, and art! This event’s theme is “We Got the Beat”!
Before we step back into the 80s, we’ll step all the way back to another century! Join your colleagues for a tour of the museum’s Cincinnati wing and learn about the history of the Queen City and its influential artists. After the tour, we’ll stop in the Mary R. Schiff Library and Archives for a brief visit and overview of its collections (http://www.cincinnatiartmuseum.org/visit/plan/mary-r-schiff-library-a-archives). The library has a unique assortment of materials on Cincinnati art and artists, a broad range of auction houses catalogs starting from the 1900s, and an exclusive collection of reference materials. We’ll wrap up at Art After Dark, a free event with cocktails, entertainment, and exclusive museum evening hours
Join your colleagues for the entire event or just come for a portion. SLA members only to the museum/library tour, but Art After Dark is a public event! Bring your spouse, significant other, or a friend!!
