Thank you for your interest in the Association’s annual conference and scholarship program. Below you will find all the information you need to proceed with the scholarship application. We hope to see you in Jacksonville.
The Association for Experiential Education (AEE) offers scholarships to current AEE Members who otherwise might not be able to attend the annual conference. Awards are based on financial need, membership status, contributions to the field, and potential to give back to the field. Scholarships are awarded to cover the full conference registration fee. Scholarships do not fund travel, food or lodging. There are a small number of scholarships available for non-members who have a vested interest in what the Association and its members are doing and practicing.
The scholarship application deadline is the same date as the earlybird conference registration deadline. Any scholarship applicant who does not receive a scholarship will be able to register at the early bird rate. Therefore please DO NOT register for the conference until AFTER you have heard from the scholarship committee on August 31.
Application Procedure
1. Complete the application below in English.
2. All applications received by August 15 will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. Applicants will be notified by August 30, 2011.
3. Applicants who have been awarded a scholarship need to accept the scholarship by September 9, 2011 AND must register for the conference by September 30, 2011. If these deadlines are not met the scholarship will be forfeited.
* Please Note: Scholarships cannot be transferred. Previous international conference scholarship recipients are not eligible for second award for five years after.
