Adult Runners and Breakfast

Background
The Universities of Roehampton and Northampton are conducting a study on breakfast habits of adult runners. Few studies have investigated the role of breakfast in physically active people. This study aims to fill this gap in current knowledge. We would appreciate your contribution to this research by completing our survey.

Who should participate in this study?
We invite everybody over the age of 18 who is a runner of any fitness or participation level to complete this survey. You must also be free of any condition that alters typical breakfast eating behaviors, i.e. pregnancy, breast feeding, diabetes, or taking medications that influence your food intake.

Who runs the study?
The study is carried out by the Health Sciences Research Centre at Roehampton University (London), under the leadership of Dr Sue Reeves, and by the Centre for Health & Wellbeing Research Centre at University of Northampton, under the leadership of Professor Jorg Huber.

What does your participation involve?
You will be asked to complete a questionnaire. It is important that you answer all questions in order to maximise the quality of the data. Completing the web based survey will take around 15 minutes although this may vary slightly.

What is in it for you?
A better understanding of the role of breakfast in physical activity will hopefully benefit runners, but we also offer you the opportunity to take part in our prize draw for a chance to win one of four £25 vouchers .
