Disability Law & Advocacy Center of Tennessee (DLAC) is working to address communication issues experienced by people with disabilities.
People with disabilities sometimes experience difficulty communicating in various situations. DLAC wants to know about communication issues that you, your family members, or those individuals you serve have experienced.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires businesses and governments to provide communication support services when necessary. Examples of support services include sign language interpreters, Braille documents, large print, and real time text.
If you or someone you work with is currently having trouble with receiving accommodations for effective communication, please contact our agency’s Advocacy Assistance Unit at 1-800-342-1660 (TTY 888-852-2852) or at GetHelp@DLACTN.org
