How many umpires actually watch for such activity closely - or accurately?
 
Can you tell from the following pictures, which have been kindly posed by the wicket keeper at Penkridge CC for Staffordshire ACO?

Please assume that the ball has been delivered fairly and is still in the air on its way to the advancing striker.

The only "trick" in the pictures is the question  of parallax from your viewing angle.
