Night Time Use of JCOS Parks

1. Default Section

Recently, the idea that some trails within the Jefferson County Open Space (JCOS) park system might be opened for night time use was brought to the Trails Use Task Force (TUTF), a citizen panel that advises county officials on issue related to park use and user conflict. Camping is allowed in some parks, but transit on the trails is not. It is the stated policy of JCOS that trail use after park closure is not allowed.

In order to gauge the level of interest in the possibility that one or two parks might be opened to night time trail use, this survey has been been prepared, and is being offered informally to collect some feedback on this idea. To be clear, JCOS is not an author, sponsor or participant in this survey in any way.
