On behalf of Central Dallas Ministries and the Dallas community, we urge you to support passage of the “Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act)” in the Senate. We encourage you to support the D.R.E.A.M. Act by signing this petition.

We believe that allowing children and youth who have grown up in the United States, knowing and having allegiance to no other country; children and youth in whom we have invested in every way that we have invested in every other child; children and youth who have shown themselves to be conscientious students and who have exhibited positive character should be allowed the opportunity to continue their education and provided a pathway to citizenship.

We believe that deportation of these children, harms families, disrupts communities and is antithetical to the principals of fairness, democracy and is an unconscionable waste of human capital desperately needed in our society.

Please allow these students to maximize their economic and professional contribution to our country.

The only students who would benefit from this bill are high achievers who contribute to their communities, have learned English, pledge love and allegiance to this nation, have successfully graduated from a U.S. high school despite many barriers, have been accepted into a 2 or 4 year university OR serve the U.S. armed forces, AND have a clean record with the law. Please take the following into consideration.
