LASTSFA Feedback: Albacon 2012 Planning - Panel/Program Suggestions

Program Suggestions

Thank you for taking the time to participate in our survey. Your input will be used to guide the programming decisions for Albacon 2012.

The theme for Albacon 2012 is the "Heart of the Story". Regardless of the form factor in which we participate, the story is at the heart of our experiences. Whether sung, read, acted, written, painted, drawn, discussed, viewed on the screen, or signed by an interpreter, we interact with something more than books, film, canvas, and the air. We are active participants of the experience and contribute to it. If you read a book twice, is it the same story each time? If you listen to a song 20 years after first hearing it, does it make you feel the same way? What is it about the story that has that ethereal and organic quality, that drives us to want more, to exceed what we are at that moment? And what drives us to seek it in the many forms that have developed since we started walking the earth?

Help us explore these questions and more at Albacon 2012: Heart of the Story. Our Guests of Honor are Jody A. Lee (Art), Roberta Rogow (Filk), Julie Czerneda (Educator), Erwin "Filthy Pierre" Strauss (Fan), and Keith R.A. DeCandido (Media); Hearts of the Story, One and All!

This survey will close March 31, 2012. If you have any questions, please contact (chair@albacon.org).
