Build an information kiosk in center of the park (where all of the park pathways cross in the middle of the park)
Add more lighting in the park for safety at night, but make sure the light shines down, not into surrounding apartments
Disaster preparedness: plan for the park to receive people in the neighborhood who would take refuge in it after an earthquake or some other disaster (e.g install an emergency generator or solar electric panels for emergency power).
Add more benches especially in areas where there are (or could be) vista points, such as at the top of the park
Replace the current flimsy garbage cans with more sturdy ones that have recycling bins built into them on top
Put a hedge around the off-leash dog area as a safety barrier for dogs and to provide a clear border between that and other areas of the park
Potential solutions for current eyesores:
Move (or hide in some sort of aesthetic enclosure) the black and blue plastic garbage bins that are currently in the center of the park
Move the large green shipping container from the top of the park to another location, to allow more vista points from the highest point in the park.
